10x Research Founder Markus Thielen Says Gary Gensler Will Resign in 2025
10X Research founder Markus Thielen predicts that United States Securities and Exchange Commission Chairman Gary Gensler will resign within the first two months of 2025 after President Joe Biden completes his term in the White House.
SEC Chairman usually resigns when a new administration is elected, Thielen said, adding that Trump's election would spell disaster for Gensler's role at the head of the institution.
Thielen cited current President Joe Biden's sudden decision to give up his candidacy as an almost certainty that Trump will be sworn in as president in November. However, other industry commentators disagreed.
With Joe Biden withdrawing from the US Presidential race, no credible candidate can seriously challenge Donald Trump. The November election appears to have been decided without a single vote being cast. “For Bitcoin, a pro-crypto administration will enter the White House.”
“Although SEC Chairman Gensler's term ends on June 5, 2026, he will likely resign by January/February 2025,” Thielen wrote.
In February, Trump vice presidential candidate J.D. Vance criticized Gensler as the worst person to regulate crypto assets and said he had a backward and over-politicized approach to crypto policy.
Additionally, Thielen noted a number of bullish catalysts for the crypto market in the coming weeks, saying that “numerous reports and rumors” point to Trump making a surprise announcement at the Bitcoin conference in Tennessee on July 25.

Nice writeup but there is an error in the title… it’s Gary that would resign and not Trump as stated in your title… Kindly make necessary corrections.
