While Kroll informed those affected and advised on protective measures, he explained that FTX user account passwords were not managed by Kroll and that FTX's own systems were not affected.
However, FTX stressed that rights holders should be wary of potential scams and fraudulent attempts, especially phishing emails impersonating parties linked to bankruptcy proceedings.
Experts stated that especially incoming mails should not be respected and a wallet connection should never be established to the redirected sites.
