Cryptocurrency Exchange Binance Announces It Will Delist ETCBUSD from Margin Transactions
This move is expected to take place on April 25, 2023 at 12:00 Turkish time, and after this date, the contract will no longer be on the platform.
The decision to delist the contract was made as part of Binance Futures' efforts to streamline its offerings and optimize the platform's performance.
Existing positions on the USDⓈ-M ETCBUSD Perpetual Contract will be closed and an automatic liquidation will take place before the delist goes into effect.
In addition to the delist transaction, Binance Futures will also adjust the leverage and margin tiers for this contract.
The new tiers, which will be implemented on April 21, 2023 at 15:00, are expected to offer investors more flexibility and better risk management options.
However, it is important to note that existing positions opened before the update will be affected.
To avoid potential liquidation, traders were strongly advised to adjust their positions and leverage before issuing.
The table provided by Binance Futures summarizes the previous leverage tiers as well as the new leverage and margin tiers.
As a result, delisting and updating of the perpetual contract USDⓈ-M ETCBUSD on Binance Futures aims to enhance users' trading experience and optimize risk management capabilities on the platform.
While the changes may affect some investors, all open positions on the contract will continue to be supported.
