MinaProtocol(MINA) cryptocurrency developers have released their multi-year roadmap outlining their plans for the future of the platform.
Mina Protocol (MINA) Altcoin Developers Share Multi-Year Roadmap
This year's focus has been announced as improving zkApp programmability on the mainnet, which will unlock true ZK programmability for developers and users.
According to the roadmap, 2023 will be a very important year for ZK and Mina. The platform is currently considered the lightest and perhaps the most advanced ZK layer 1 blockchain in the world. However, the team behind Mina believes there is still a lot to be done to make it even stronger for developers.
The roadmap is divided into five sections: Trust Minimization, ZK-Programmability, Settlement Layer Performance, Recursive Rollups, and Road to DAOification. According to the developers, each piece will play an important role in making Mina the ultimate layer 1 blockchain.
The team behind Mina hopes this roadmap will serve as a starting point for future developments and states that there is still much to explore and unravel.

Trust Minimization is one of five lanes in Mina Protocol's perennial roadmap. Mina focuses on ensuring that the blockchain is decentralized in a sustainable and scalable way, and protects the protocol from attacks and biases caused by decentralization.
ZK-Programmability is another piece in Mina Protocol's multi-year roadmap. It's about building the best possible ZK programmability layer on Mina with scalable validation and zero-knowledge privacy.
Settlement Layer Performance is another area on Mina Protocol's multi-year roadmap. It's about optimizing the performance of Mina's latency, precision and throughput. The ultimate goal was set to achieve low seconds or millisecond latency, instant precision, and resolution of hundreds or thousands of proofs per second.
Recursive Rollups is another title in Mina Protocol's perennial roadmap. It's about pushing the boundaries of composability across platforms and enabling apps and platforms to connect and enhance each other in Mina.
Road to DAOification is another track on Mina Protocol's perennial roadmap. It's about setting up a decision-making system for Mina to function effectively and have a positive impact on the world. The ultimate goal is to create a decentralized autonomous organization (DAO) that can administer the protocol and allocate resources in a transparent and democratic way.
