9.6 Billion Dollar Lawsuit from Former Ethereum (ETH) Advisor to the US Government!

According to a post by FOX Business reporter Eleanor Terrett, former Ethereum (ETH) advisor Steven Nerayoff filed a $9.6 billion lawsuit against the US government.

Steven Nerayoff, an early advisor to the Ethereum network who is known for publicly accusing Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin of fraud, filed a lawsuit against the US government for false accusations and mistreatment by federal agents between 2019 and 2023.

Because Nerayoff's legal fight lasted about four years, and the US government finally rejected the case in May 2023.

In his lawsuit for compensation, Nerayoff stated that the US government was aware that the fraud accusations against him were groundless and demanded compensation of 9.6 billion dollars from the US government due to unfair accusations.

Nerayoff added that some agents used harassment and intimidation, including fabricating evidence, in an attempt to prosecute him for fraud.

Steven Nerayoffs' legal team stated that they believe the damage to Nerayoff's reputation and business is serious enough to warrant litigation against the US government, stating:

“As a direct and proximate result of the misconduct of federal agents and/or officers, Mr. Nerayoff's well-being, personal life, and career were irreparably damaged.

He was seen as a scammer and ostracized in the crypto community. “As a result, Mr. Nerayoff lost his income while also incurring significant legal costs to defend himself.”
