South Korea’s largest cryptocurrency exchanges, Upbit and Bithumb, have seen a remarkable surge in altcoin trading volume over the past 24 hours. A combined analysis of data from both exchanges reveals that Worldcoin (WLD), XRP, and SOON are particularly in the focus of South Korean investors.
According to data from Upbit and Bithumb combined, Worldcoin’s total trading volume over the last 24 hours reached approximately $179.4 million. WLD thus became one of the most actively traded altcoins on both exchanges, while XRP followed closely behind with a total volume of approximately $172.1 million.
SOON also saw strong trading activity. With a volume of approximately $54 million on Upbit and $26.2 million on Bithumb, the altcoin’s total trading volume across the two exchanges exceeded $80.2 million.
Sui (SUI), NEAR Protocol (NEAR), and Ondo (ONDO) were other prominent altcoins in the South Korean market. SUI’s total volume reached $63.9 million, NEAR’s $63.1 million, and ONDO’s $58.1 million.
When the data from the last 24 hours of the two exchanges are combined, the leading cryptocurrencies and their total trading volumes are ranked as follows:
