Controversial popular altcoin Worldcoin has announced that it has partnered with Alchemy to support the infrastructure of its own World Chain blockchain, which is expected to be launched soon, The Block reports.
Through this partnership, World Chain developers will gain access to Alchemy's web3 development platform.
Steven Smith, Head of Protocol at Tools for Humanity, said the following about the Alchemy partnership:
“By partnering with Alchemy, World Chain developers will have instant access to a complete and comprehensive web3 developer platform that includes both core and data APIs, indexing solutions, and other tools developers need to power their applications.”
In the statement, it was stated that World Chain will work with Optimism, Coinbase and the broader Ethereum ecosystem.
The statement also stated that the new blockchain World Chain is planned to be released this summer.
Noam Hurwitz from Alchemy said that his company joining forces with Worldcoin is important for the industry.
Worldcoin Foundation announced last April that it would launch a new Layer 2 blockchain called World Chain.
