Who Holds the Most Bitcoin? Individual Investors or Corporates?

Crypto asset manager and spot Bitcoin ETF issuer Bitwise has announced its second quarter market review report results.

Accordingly, Bitwise, which examined who owns Bitcoins in the market, stated that individual investors own 57% of BTC.

According to the report, the total number of BTC owned by individual investors is equal to 12 million BTC.

Analyzing the number of BTC held by Funds/ETFs and miners, Bitwise reported that Fund or ETF owners have a 5.3% share with 800,000 Bitcoins, while miners have a 3.4% share with 700,000 Bitcoins.

Bitwise also stated that only 1.4 million Bitcoins remain to be mined, representing 6.6% of the total.

Bitwise CIO Matt Hougan also argued in his statement that the price of Bitcoin could rise to $100,000 by the end of 2024.
