While different scenarios are drawn for Bitcoin, some expect a decline and some expect an increase. While investors are excited for the rise, CryptoQuant analyst announced the possible date range for the new ATH in BTC by comparing previous halving cycles.
Stating that BTC could break its previous ATH of $ 69,000, the analyst pointed out 2025 for the new ATH.
At this point, looking at previous halving cycles, the analyst said that the first halving took place on 28-11-2012 and a year before the halving, Bitcoin was $ 2.48.
One year after the halving, the Bitcoin price rose to $1,131.
Stating that Bitcoin had fallen to $269 before the second halving, the analyst said that it rose to $650 during the halving and reached an impressive $2,518 about a year after the halving.
“In the third halving, the cycle repeated and Bitcoin fell to $7,255 before the third halving.
It then rose modestly to $8,762 during the halving and rose significantly to $56,615 a year after the halving.
Now in the current cycle, the fourth halving is expected to occur in April 2024.
A year ago (April 2023), Bitcoin rose to $31,000.
Looking at historical cycle data, it seems that there is a strong possibility that Bitcoin will experience a significant increase after the fourth halving.
At this point, if history repeats itself for Bitcoin, which experienced a tremendous rise a year after the halving, it should be expected that the rise will potentially last until April-August 2025 and exceed the previous highest level of $ 69,000. “
Finally, the analyst said that the main takeaway from halving cycles is that “Bitcoin's price experiences a significant increase with each halving and begins to rise gradually a year before the halving, and continues for 12-16 months after the halving, reaching new highs before entering the bearish phase.”
At this point, the analyst stated that Bitcoin will reach its peak between April and August 2025 in the current cycle and its previous ATH will exceed $ 69,000.
Finally, the analyst recommended that after April-August 2025, investors should slowly start selling and exit the market.
