Bloomberg analysts James Seyffart and Eric Balchunas shared their latest thoughts on the status of Ethereum futures ETF applications.
Despite the reluctance of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC), Ethereum futures ETFs are expected to launch in October, according to analysts.
According to Seyffart and Balchunas, there is a 90% chance that Ethereum futures ETFs will launch in October. Valkyrie's Bitcoin futures ETF (BTF) is set to become the first ETF with exposure to Ethereum on October 3 following a strategy change.
Analysts predict that pure Ethereum futures ETFs will begin trading the following week, thanks to the actions of Volatility Shares.
At least nine companies have filed for 15 Ethereum ETFs, including Valkyrie and Volatility Shares. But Seyffart and Balchunas don't expect all of them to be released.
However, Bloomberg analysts expect the Volality Shares ETH futures ETF to be approved on October 11 and launched on October 12.
Analysts had previously written in their statements that if the futures ETF is approved, the probability of approval of spot applications for ETH will increase significantly.
