According to the latest development, the X (formerly Twitter) account of Near Protocol (NEAR), one of the world's largest altcoins, was hacked and taken over.
The account shared posts that all cryptocurrency projects were scams. The name of Near Protocol's X account was also changed to “they are all lies.”
The hacker, whose motivation has not yet been determined, also shared a phone number he claimed belonged to him and asked his followers to call him.
In addition, he argued in his post that he would not commit fraud by sharing a contract address like other hackers. He said that his cryptocurrency followers should delete their X accounts and “go out” and live a normal life.
There is currently uncertainty about the future of the hacked Near Protocol account, which also has a “yellow tick” given only to certain organizations, and as of this writing, no action has been taken.
