According to the post made by cryptocurrency security company PeckShield, Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin's Twitter account appears to have been hacked.
In the now-deleted Tweet, Buterin shared a link that appeared to be legitimate but redirected to the scammers' site, known as a phishing method.
In the post made from Vitalik Buterin's account, it was claimed that Consensys will launch an NFT to celebrate the arrival of the Proto-Danksharding feature to Ethereum and that it can be obtained for free with the shared link. However, in reality, scammers want users who click on the link to connect their wallets, and all the assets of the users who connect their wallets are transferred to the accounts belonging to the attackers.
Buterin's social media accounts had never been hacked before.
