While Bitcoin is being talked about with its recent declines, a new Bitcoin move came from US Presidential candidate Donald Trump, who attracted attention with his pro-BTC and cryptocurrency statements.
According to Axios, two people with knowledge of the matter said that former US President Donald Trump was in talks to speak at the Bitcoin 2024 conference.
Accordingly, Trump may speak at the Bitcoin 2024 conference to be held in Nashville in late July.
Sources also said that Trump was invited to the conference, but the group did not respond to whether the former president would speak or attend.
Apart from Trump, US politicians, including another presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr., former presidential candidate Vivek Ramaswamy, and Republican Senators Bill Hagerty and Marsha Blackburn, will also speak at the Bitcoin 2024 conference.
Speaking to The Block, Trump senior advisor Brian Hughes said cryptocurrencies are “under attack”:
“Cryptocurrencies and the industry are under attack from Biden and the Democrats.
“While Biden is cracking down on crypto innovation with more regulations and higher taxes, President Trump is ready to promote American leadership in these and other emerging technologies.”
Referring to El Salvador's announcement at a Bitcoin event in Miami that it accepted Bitcoin as a legal currency, experts point out that Truump's speech at the Bitcoin conference in July will be important.
The Bitcoin 2024 Conference, hosted by Bitcoin Magazine, will take place on July 25-27 and is seen as the biggest Bitcoin event of the year.
