Lawyer John Deaton, who represented XRP in the SEC case, suggested that Binance, a major cryptocurrency exchange, could face legal action from the United States Department of Justice (DOJ).

Deaton pointed out some unusual events that have occurred recently and stated that a sealed indictment against Binance would not be surprising.
During a discussion on Twitter, Deaton highlighted a notable shift in the regulatory approach towards the crypto industry.
He advised crypto market participants to be prepared for a protracted legal battle.
“Unfortunately, I think we need to be prepared for a longer fight. We're seeing a shift from 'we're going to kill crypto' to 'no, we can't, so we're going to crush it so the traditional players can come in and take it,'” Deaton said.
