Bankrupt cryptocurrency company Voyager has transferred a large amount of tokens to cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase.
According to the data obtained, Voyager moved 1500 Ethereum ($2.77 million) and 250 billion Shiba Inu ($2.7 million) to Coinbase an hour ago. This appears to be part of Voyager's process to liquidate its remaining assets and reimburse its users in US dollars.
Voyager, which started operating as a commission-free crypto broker in 2019, filed for bankruptcy in July 2022.
Voyager offered its users two options: withdraw 35.72% of their tokens from requests made between June 20 and July 5, or wait 30 days until Voyager sells their tokens and pays in USD.
According to Arkham Intel, a crypto information firm, there are currently around $81.63 million worth of cryptocurrencies left on the Voyager address. All of these tokens could be sold in the next few days, as Voyager is in the process of centralizing all remaining tokens from their wallet address to their main address.
