Popular crypto platform Lookonchain, which tracks the purchases, sales and transfers of cryptocurrencies by large institutional investors and whales, shared that a whale associated with Ethereum founder Vitalik Buterin has invested ETH in OKX.
Lookonchain said that a large whale associated with Buterin deposited 2,013 ETH (worth $3.76 million) on crypto exchange OKX about 2 hours ago.
Lookonchain also added that it purchased 22,300 ETH (worth $41.6 million) from December 30, 2022 to May 18, 2023, from the address “0x9e92” thought to be associated with Vitalik Buterin.
According to the transfer history shared by Lookonchain, the “0x9e92” address seems to have sent 2250 ETH from the ETHs it holds to the “0xC767” address some time ago.
At this point, it is seen that the address “0xC767” deposited 2.013 ETH to OKX about 2 hours ago.
“A giant whale associated with Vitalik Buterin deposited 2,013 ETH (worth $3.76 million) in OKX 2 hours ago.
The frequently quoted address “0x9e92″ from/to this whale received 22,300 ETH (worth $41.6 million) from Vitalik Buterin from December 30, 2022 to May 18, 2023.”
Lookonchain also shared the dates that this address previously deposited ETH on the OKX exchange. Accordingly, after the address deposited ETH to OKX, it was noted that there were withdrawals in the ETH price. Because under the sharing of Lookonchain, comments were made that this address reached its peak on the dates that ETH was deposited.
Time will tell whether this address will sell ETH and whether it will affect the price of ETH even if the sale comes.
Etheruem continues to trade at $1,869 at the time of writing.
