Unusual Trading Volumes Seen in 5 Altcoins in South Korea

There are significant transaction volume increases in some altcoins on Upbit, South Korea's most popular cryptocurrency exchange.

Unusual trading volumes were detected in several altcoins on Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange. The altcoins in question include Waves (WAVES), Stellar (XLM), Neo (NEO), WAX (WAXP) and Decentraland (MANA).

The 4-hour chart for Waves (WAVES) showed average volume of $1 million over the last 50 periods. However, recent volume increased by a significant 50.28% to $1.5 million. On Binance, the volume increased from an average of 590 thousand dollars to 855 thousand dollars, an increase of 44.83%.

Stellar (XLM) also experienced an increase in trading volume. On the 1-hour chart, average volume of $943K increased by a whopping 223.47% to nearly $3M. Binance also reported a 41.15% increase from $1 million to nearly $1.5 million.

Neo (NEO) is not left behind either. The 4-hour chart showed an increase from average volume of $32K to $76K, which represents an increase of 137.48%. On Binance, the volume increased from 32 thousand dollars to 43 thousand dollars, an increase of 33.54%.

WAX (WAXP) also saw a significant increase in trading volume. The 1-hour chart showed an increase of 214.67% from average volume of $7 million to a staggering $24 million. On Binance, volume increased by 30.86% from $3 million.

Finally, Decentraland (MANA) joined the list with a large increase in trading volume. The 1-hour chart showed an increase of 322.20% to $408k from average volume of $97k. However, volume on Binance decreased by 65.03%, from $260k to $91k.
