Following the recent resignation of CEO Brian Shroder, there are also resignations of senior executives at Binance.US, the American arm of the global cryptocurrency exchange Binance.
There were executive resignations at Binance.US
According to sources cited by the Wall Street Journal, Chief Legal Officer Krishna Juvvadi and Chief Risk Officer Sidney Majalya have reportedly resigned from their positions.
Krishna Juvvadi, who joined the company in May of the previous year, and Sidney Majalya, who was appointed in December 2021, are the latest in a series of senior executives to leave Binance.US.
While the company declined to comment on the matter, these resignations come on the heels of Brian Shroder's departure and reports of a significant reduction in the firm's workforce.
Binance, a leading player in the global cryptocurrency exchange world, has faced significant regulatory challenges in the United States throughout the year.
The Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) took legal action against the company in June for alleged violations of securities laws. This followed previous accusations from the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC).
Earlier in the month, Binance witnessed the departure of Global Product Leader Mayur Kamat, who had been with the company for about a year and a half.
This year also saw the departure of important names such as Chief Strategy Officer Patrick Hillmann, Senior Director of Investigations Matthew Price, and Senior Vice President of Compliance Steven Christie.
Binance CEO stated that all these separations are normal and that such news is not a problem.
