Durov, who was detained by French authorities on charges of facilitating illegal activities via Telegram, is now at the center of discussions about privacy and government overreach.

While this sudden arrest brought about a major decline in TON, which is among the top 10 cryptocurrencies, statements of support continue to come from the cryptocurrency industry.

At this point, Tron (TRX) founder Justin Sun, who extended a helping hand at critical points, also received help from Telegram CEO Pavel Durov, who was arrested.

Justin Sun, who proposed a DAO to help free Durov, also pledged to donate $1,000,000.
