This integration covers both mobile and desktop versions of the wallet and aims to streamline the process of converting fiat currency to crypto.
With the inclusion of Coinbase Pay, Aptos Labs offers a familiar fiat gateway for Coinbase users, a move designed to simplify the transaction process.
According to Aptos, “With Coinbase Pay, Coinbase users can seamlessly add APT to Petra through the bank of their choice, debit card, credit card, or even their Coinbase account balance.”
This development follows a number of similar initiatives in the industry, all aimed at improving the experience for new customers by strengthening functionality through partnerships with established technology firms.
Last month, Aptos announced it was collaborating with Microsoft to explore innovative solutions related to asset tokenization and digital payments.
This partnership positions Aptos, founded by former Meta employees, to connect more directly with Coinbase's vast user base, which numbers in the millions.
