Unusual transaction volumes were detected in several altcoins on Upbit, South Korea's largest cryptocurrency exchange. The altcoins in question include Bitcoin Gold (BTG), Aave (AAVE), Ontology Gas (ONG), Hifi Finance (HIFI) and Mask Network (MASK).
The 4-hour chart for Bitcoin Gold (BTG) shows an average volume of $60,000. However, the last recorded volume was a staggering $98,000, an increase of 63.79%. In contrast, volume on Binance decreased by 31.93%, from an average of $29,000 to $19,000.
Aave (AAVE) also experienced a significant volume increase on Upbit. Average 1-hour volume of $2,000 rose to nearly $5,000, a massive increase of 178.24%. Meanwhile, Binance reported a 20.66% drop in volume from $9,000 to nearly $7,000.
Ontology Gas (ONG) saw a massive increase in volume on the 4-hour chart. Average volume of $48 million jumped to $131 million, an increase of 169.50%. Binance also reported a volume increase from $11 million to $15 million, an increase of 29.34%.
Hifi Finance (HIFI) and Mask Network (MASK) were also among those experiencing significant volume changes. Hifi Finance (HIFI) posted a 254.26% increase in 1-hour chart volume on Upbit from $667,000 to $2 million, while Binance reported a 12.61% decline. Mask Network (MASK) experienced a 158.46% increase in 1-hour chart volume on Upbit from $115,000 to $298,000, while Binance reported a 34.29% decline.
