2025 was a very eventful year for Bitcoin and altcoins. While BTC and most altcoins experienced sharp rises and falls throughout the year, some altcoins stood out with their growth, becoming the stars of 2025.
According to CoinGecko’s analysis, these 10 altcoins were the top-performing altcoins of 2025.
According to CoinGecko data, ZCash (ZEC), one of the most talked-about altcoins in recent months, is also on this list, while MYX Finance takes the top spot.
The altcoins on the list are ranked as follows:

2. Zcash (ZEC) – 574%
3. Rain Protocol (RAIN) – 185%
4. Zebec Network- 164%
5. Zora – 138%
6. Monero (XMR) – 116%
7. OCD – 115%
8. Alchemist AI – 89%
9. Maple Finance- 75%
10. Midnight Network- 58%”
While these 10 altcoins brought profits to investors, Bitcoin (BTC) and Ethereum (ETH) were a disappointment.
Despite reaching all-time highs this year, BTC and ETH are ending the year with losses. BTC has fallen 7.9% since the beginning of the year, while ETH has dropped 15.2%.
