AltLayer, a blockchain infrastructure provider known for its scalable Layer 2 solutions, has introduced its latest innovation, “Autonome.”
AltLayer Launches 'Autonome' Platform to Develop Autonomous AI Agents on Verifiable Agentic Web
This platform is designed to facilitate the creation, deployment, and discovery of autonomous AI agents within a decentralized framework known as the Verifiable Agentic Web.
By combining AI with blockchain, AltLayer aims to establish a trust-minimized ecosystem where self-governing agents can interact securely and all interactions are recorded on-chain.
Autonome targets developers and decentralized applications (dApps) who want to create intelligent, autonomous agents capable of making independent decisions.
Unlike traditional AI systems that follow rigidly programmed instructions, Autonome agents are designed to adapt dynamically by making choices guided by their own “values, principles, and goals.”
This enables a new level of participation in decentralized ecosystems, allowing intermediaries to collaborate, transact, and iterate with other intermediaries to serve user interests, especially in applications like decentralized finance (DeFi).
The platform includes a Trusted Execution Environment (TEE) that ensures broker transactions are secure and verifiable.
For example, an autonomous agent in DeFi can independently manage user assets, respond to market conditions, rebalance portfolios, and execute staking transactions, all of which align with a user’s preferences and risk tolerance.
Autonome’s code-free Build Studio is currently in development and will include tools such as the Coinbase Development Kit (CDK) Agent Kit powered by LangChain, allowing developers to create model-agnostic AI agents regardless of their experience level.
