According to the country's local news agency The Thaiger, a man named Kritsada invested in Bitcoin. However, he lost 700,000 baht (about $19,500) on this investment.
An argument broke out between Kritsada and her 31-year-old wife Pistamai due to her loss in BTC investment.
In the growing argument, Kritsada shot his wife in the leg.
The authorities then took action and arrested Kritsada. Following this incident, Kritsada was charged with attempted murder as well as possession of an unlicensed firearm.
