Cryptocurrency journalist Jacquelyn Melinek, who predicted yesterday that Bitcoin Spot ETFs would be approved today, revised her prediction. He now suggests approvals could come as early as next week.
Sharing new updates on the status of spot Bitcoin ETFs, Melinek said, “Approval could now happen next week, but there is no exact timing.” Recently, experts working in the field of cryptocurrency have been making contradictory statements and predictions. Since the final decision date for Bitcoin Spot ETF approvals is January 10, this seems to be the most critical date.
According to Melinek, this slow progress is due to extensive work being done behind the scenes. “The government is taking things slow, so things are moving slower,” he explained.
As for next steps, Melinek explained that applicants are expected to complete their 19b-4 applications today or possibly by Monday. These applications will soon be made public and will constitute one of the final steps in the approval process.
For now, Melinek advises patience as the crypto community waits for these developments. The journalist concluded his words by saying, “We need to sit and wait.”
