Tether (USDT), the world's largest stablecoin by market value, announced today that they will soon launch USDT on the Aptos (APT) Network.
The integration is part of Tether’s broader strategy to make its digital currency more accessible and usable globally, leveraging Aptos’ advanced blockchain technology and its exceptional speed and scalability, the statement said.
The Aptos network supports a robust developer community, evidenced by the steady increase in deployed contracts, indicative of active and ongoing development.
“The integration of USDT onto the Aptos blockchain will bring the added benefit of extremely low gas fees that cost only a fraction of a penny.
This feature will significantly reduce transaction costs and make it economically viable for a wider range of use cases, from micro-transactions to large-scale enterprise operations.
“The strategic collaboration between Tether and Aptos leverages these transformative features to increase the utility and accessibility of USDT, making it more attractive to users from diverse economic backgrounds.”
“The Tether team is excited to integrate and collaborate with the Aptos ecosystem, furthering our commitment to making digital currencies more accessible and functional,” said Paolo Ardoino, CEO of Tether. “Aptos’ innovative technology provides a robust platform to facilitate faster and more cost-effective transactions with USDT. This collaboration underscores our ongoing efforts to lead through innovation and support our users with stable, reliable financial instruments.”
APT price moved after the news.
