Terra (LUNA) Founder Do Kwon’s Fate Has Been Decided – “This Time It’s Final, No Objections”

The Montenegrin Court of Appeals upheld the decision to extradite Terraform Labs co-founder Do Kwon to his home country of South Korea and rejected rival efforts to have him extradited to the United States.

The decision announced today marks the final turn of the ongoing legal adventure regarding Kwon, who faces extradition requests from both the USA and South Korea. The Podgorica-based court confirmed that there were no further appeals against this decision, as stated on its website.

This decision also supports the expedited extradition procedure previously granted by another court in Montenegro.

Do Kwon's lawyer, Goran Rodic, told Bloomberg that Montenegro will coordinate with Interpol to facilitate the extradition. Rodic expressed hope that the process would be completed “as soon as possible.”

The decision brings a solution to the jurisdictional dispute over former cryptocurrency giant Kwon, which is at the center of international legal disputes.

Details about when Kwon's extradition will take place are expected to become clear in the coming days.
