Popular messaging platform Telegram announced the introduction of Toncoin (TON) based ads in its statement.
Accordingly, users will be able to purchase channel ads with Toncoin.
In addition to introducing TON-based ads, Telegram also announced a generous reward system for channel owners. According to this new system, channel owners will receive a significant portion of the revenue from ads shown on their channels, i.e. 50%.
“Today we are introducing one of the most generous reward systems in the history of social media. Telegram channel owners will now be able to receive 50% of their income from ads shown on their channels.
Channel owners can withdraw their rewards at no cost or reinvest them in Telegram ads, collectible usernames or Premium gifts.
We are also introducing a new type of advertising that they can purchase with Toncoin, a cryptocurrency powered by the TON Blockchain. Now anyone can promote their channel with low budgets using a very small amount of Toncoin.
“We chose TON Blockchain because it has low fees, high transaction speeds, and holds the record for the number of transactions it can process per second.”
After this announcement, the price of TON increased.
