Bitcoin's White Paper has been quietly removed by Apple from the macOS beta.
The World's Largest Technology Company Apple Removed Bitcoin (BTC) From Its Operating System
On April 25, Apple-focused news site 9to5Mac reported that Big Tech removed a test scanner app called Virtual Scanner II in the latest macOS Ventura 13.4 beta, after which the Bitcoin White Paper also disappeared.
An April 5 blog post by tech expert Andy Baio revealed that a PDF copy of Satoshi Nakamoto's Bitcoin whitepaper has been shipped with every copy of MacOS for the past five years.
What Happened?
According to the news that appeared earlier, Apple had hidden its Bitcoin (BTC) Whitepaper (PDF file published by Bitcoin founder Satoshi Nakamoto when Bitcoin first appeared) inside every MacOS software produced since 2017.
This file came by default with MacOS versions, and when users typed a certain code structure into the terminal, this file appeared in front of them.
The document was located in Virtual Scanner II on macOS. No one knew why he was there, but it was suspected to be "a joke among Apple engineers," according to the report.
According to the news of Apple Insider, different conspiracy theories have been put forward, such as Apple's co-founder Steve Jobs is Satoshi Nakamoto.
However, Apple did not see the funny side and removed the document from the latest version of the Mac operating system.
The white paper was located in a folder within the Image Capture application and other seemingly random files such as PDFs and images.
