Ethereum (ETH) co-founder Vitalik Buterin made a noteworthy and humorous comment about the possibility of other blockchains surpassing Ethereum in an interview he gave.
When Buterin was asked if he would be disappointed if another public chain took the lead, he stated that his answer would depend on which chain won. Buterin made it clear that he would respect the victory of a technologically strong and superior competitor.
However, as he continued, he specifically referred to the Tron (TRX) project. Buterin said that if a project like TRON were to reach its peak, it would cause him to “lose some of his hope for humanity.”
Tron founder Justin Sun is known as one of the controversial figures in the cryptocurrency market. However, a significant portion of the very large stablecoin market operates through Tron instead of Ethereum, and the majority of USDT transfers, in particular, are carried out via the Tron network.
