Cryptocurrency exchange Coinbase has published a new announcement about the Zcash (ZEC) altcoin, which it has already listed for a long time.

According to the announcement, Coinbase is placing ZEC-USD and ZEC-BTC trading pairs in “limit order only” mode. This means that these trading pairs will no longer be able to be traded as “market orders” on Coinbase.

The exchange did not make any statement about the reason for this update, but cryptocurrency regulation trends around the world are regulated to the detriment of privacy coins. Due to pressure from several countries in Europe, exchanges had to delist privacy tokens in some countries.

Zcash is also a privacy coin and one of the largest by market cap. After the development, there was a sudden decrease in the price of ZEC, albeit slightly.
