As the SEC's pressure on Bitcoin (BTC) and cryptocurrencies continues, SEC Chairman Gary Gensler will testify tomorrow in front of the Senate Banking Committee at the session titled “Oversight of the US Securities and Exchange Commission”.
At this point, Gary Gensler, who shared on his Twitter account, said that he will testify before the Senate Banking Committee on September 12, 2023 at 10:00 ET.
The session will start at 17:00 Turkish time.
Tomorrow's session will be watched closely by crypto investors as Bitcoin tries to protect $25,000.
In the session, the SEC's role and approach on cryptocurrencies, as well as the decisions in the XRP and Grayscale cases, are expected to be discussed.
Apart from these, questions may also come to the SEC Chairman about spot Bitcoin ETF applications from financial giants such as Blackrock, Ark Invest, Fidelity, Bitwise, and whether it is approved or not.
In addition to tomorrow's testimony, the SEC Chairman will also testify before the House of Representatives Financial Services Committee on September 27, 2023.
Known for his negative approach to Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies, Genlser thinks most cryptos are securities and should be registered with the SEC.
