The war between Russia and Ukraine, which started on February 24, 2022, has been going on for more than a year. While the embargoes imposed on Russia by Europe and the USA have continued since then, many crypto exchanges have also imposed some restrictions on Russia in this context.
Especially Russia, which is under the embargo, used cryptocurrencies intensively during this period. Trying to break the embargoes with cryptocurrencies, Russia faced the blocking of many exchanges.
In this context, although Binance previously stated that there would be no sanctions against Russian citizens, Russian citizens were subsequently prevented from using the platform.
According to the news of Coindesk, Binance has removed the block that it has applied to Russian citizens for almost 1 year. Currently, Russian citizens can deposit Russian rubles, Euros, British pounds and other currencies from their bank cards to the platform.
There has been no official statement from Binance on the subject yet.
