Mina (MINA) developers announced a new grant program called the Mina Navigators Program.
This program, the largest zkApp grant program to date, is designed to incentivize building applications on the Mina Protocol, according to the developers.
The program will run from October 2023 to April 2024 and will distribute 6 million MINA tokens to participants. The aim of the program is to encourage innovation and help developers understand zero knowledge (ZK) and Mina concepts through monthly technical challenges.
Mina Navigators Program will be carried out in three stages:
- Hackathon: This phase will be held between October 9 – November 10.
- Learn-win missions: This phase will take place between November 2023 and April 2024.
- Final contribution grant: This phase will end on April 30, 2024.
According to cryptocurrency developers, this announcement comes at a time when Mina is preparing for a major upgrade, with more than 50 projects currently being developed on the platform and cross-chain compatibility being worked on by community participants.
Following the announcement, MINA price was negatively affected, falling 1.73% on the day and trading at $0.3608 at the time of writing.
