European fintech giant Revolut is deepening its partnership with Polygon Labs to enable UK and European Economic Area (EEA) customers to make fast and low-cost crypto transfers using stablecoins like USDC, USDT, and POL.
Revolut users will now be able to make these transfers directly from the Revolut app, via the Polygon blockchain.
Revolut serves more than 65 million users across 38 countries and first integrated with Polygon in December 2024. Since then, the company has processed over $690 million in trading volume through Polygon. These transactions are nearly instantaneous, and gas fees remain extremely low.
“We're rolling out support for USDC and USDT on Polygon for Revolut customers. These assets are available on the Polygon network within Revolut for the first time; users can now send and receive them,” a Revolut spokesperson said in a statement.
Polygon Labs CEO Marc Boiron stated that this integration is a testament to the new era of finance, where on-chain payments are rendered invisible, integrated with traditional payment experiences, and increased speed and cost efficiency. “The integration with Revolut represents exactly the real-world benefit we are trying to build for everyday users,” he said.
