NewCampus, a globally accredited Challenger business school, announced a strategic partnership with Open Campus, an educational blockchain-based protocol, to adopt the EDU token as a payment method and a reward mechanism for the learning platform.
The partnership will enable NewCampus to leverage the Open Campus Protocol to build a decentralized education community of educators, students and corporate customers, and offer new features and use cases powered by EDU, such as tokenized rewards for students and incentives for content creation and publishing.
The EDU token is recognized as the native currency of the Open Campus Protocol, which aims to facilitate the global adoption of crypto in education. The OC Alliance is a consortium of companies that have integrated the EDU token into their products and services, with the shared belief that cryptocurrencies have a place in education.
NewCampus CEO and Director of Education Will Fan said:
“Education has long relied on technology to strengthen its traditional practices, but it has been difficult to truly reinvent itself. By partnering with future-oriented organizations such as Open Campus, we have the opportunity to make bold moves and challenge the status quo.
Together, we can focus on student impact, accessibility and sustainable business models and lead an education renaissance that will reshape the future of learning. We are excited to be at the forefront of this movement.”
