Billionaire Elon Musk, who is well known in the crypto money world, stated that the blue bird logo of Twitter, which he previously replaced with the Dogecoin (DOGE) mascot, will change permanently this time.
Musk explained the change with these words:
“And soon we will say goodbye to the twitter brand and slowly all the birds.”
The billionaire owner of the social media platform added the following in a post he made:
“If a good enough X logo is released tonight, we'll have it aired worldwide tomorrow.”
Musk later posted a flashing “X” image and answered “Yes” to the question of whether the Twitter logo would change in the Twitter Spaces chat, adding “it should have been done a long time ago”.
In the video shared by Musk, the new possible logo for Twitter looks like this:
In the turbulent tenure since Musk bought Twitter in October, the company had changed its business name to X Corp, similar to the billionaire's vision to create a “super app” like China's WeChat.
The Twitter bird was temporarily replaced by Dogecoin's Shiba Inu dog in April, which helped boost the memecoin's market value.
The company came under widespread criticism from users and marketing professionals when Musk announced earlier this month that Twitter would limit how many tweets various accounts can read per day.
However, after Musk asked for suggestions for the logo, a share came from Binance CEO Changpeng Zhao. Zhao created an “X” for the Twitter logo by taking a section from the Binance logo.
