OKX Announces It Will List The Top Meme Token: It Is Listed On A Major Exchange For The First Time

Cryptocurrency exchange OKX announced in its statement that it has listed the meme token PEPE on the agenda of the last period.

Thus, PEPE was listed on one of the major cryptocurrency exchanges for the first time.

According to OKX's statement, PEPE/USDT spot trading started at 12:00 today, while PEPE withdrawals will open at 12:00 on May 2.

Pepe the Frog is a cartoon character and internet meme created by cartoonist Matt Furie. Designed as a green humanoid frog with a humanoid body, the character is one of the most recognizable memes in the world.

The price of PEPE has risen over 100% in the last 24 hours and has a market cap of over $500 million at the time of this writing.

OKX is a Seychelles-based cryptocurrency exchange and derivatives exchange founded by Star Xu in 2017. It is owned by OK Group, which also owns another crypto exchange called OKcoin. OKX offers a variety of crypto trading and earning services such as spot, margin, futures, options, perpetual swaps, DeFi, lending and mining.

However, OKX has also faced some problems and controversies in its past. For example, in October 2020, the exchange suspended withdrawals for several weeks after one of the private key holders was detained by the police. In June 2021, OKX was blocked by some Chinese internet platforms after the Chinese government's crackdown on crypto activities.
