The world's largest cryptocurrency exchange Binance and its founder and CEO Changpeng Zhao (CZ) responded to the lawsuit filed by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Monday via Twitter.
Binance has denied the allegations and has always argued that it is transparent and compliant. In a tweet from his official account, Binance listed some of his practices that he said showed his honesty and responsibility:
-
Our wallet addresses? It is transparent and open for all to see.
-
Abuse of user assets? It never has been and never will be.
-
Do we have debt in our capital structure? No, it never happened.
-
Unsecured loan? We don't do business this way.
-
Big political donations? It's not part of our agenda.
We are a community of people united by the promise of financial inclusion.
Of different races, ethnicities and faiths.
We are Binance. We will continue to develop for our users and stand for this industry.
CZ also quoted the tweet, adding his own comment that some people often misunderstand Binance for their narrow worldview:
People often use their (narrow) view of the world to see us. For example,
Q: Don't you have any debt?
A: No, there isn't.
