New Development in the Terra Case! South Korea Requested Help from Interpol!

According to the news of South Korean local news agency Newsis, the South Korean National Police Agency requested help from Interpol to repatriate Terra (LUNA) co-founder Do Kwon.

South Korea stated the following in its letter to Interpol:

“We expect interest and support from sInterpol to better understand the issue. Do Kwon can be extradited to Korea.”

Lee Yong-sang, South Korea's international cooperation official, said, “The Ministry of Justice's International Criminal Division and the National Police Agency are working together to repatriate Mr. Kwon through the international criminal cooperation channel and the Interpol international cooperation line, respectively.” said.

As you may remember, the Montenegrin Court of Appeals recently overturned the decision to extradite Do Kwon to the USA, claiming that the rules of criminal procedure were seriously violated.

Terraform Labs founder Do Kwon is wanted by US and South Korean authorities on fraud charges stemming from the collapse of the Terra ecosystem in May 2022, which caused investors to lose nearly $40 billion in a few days.

Do Kwon was arrested in Montenegro in March 2023, it was revealed that he used a fake passport when he was going to leave the country, and he was sentenced to four months in prison in November for using a fake passport.

Former Terra leader Kwon, who has defended himself on multiple occasions, denies accusations that he and Terraform Labs deliberately defrauded investors.
