Binance, the world's largest cryptocurrency exchange, started the day with altcoin announcements.
At this point, Binance, stating that it has added TRY trading pairs for some altcoins, also announced that it will support the BNB Smart Chain network upgrade and hard fork in its next announcement.
Stating that the BNB Smart Chain upgrade will take place on August 10, Binance said in its statement:
“Binance will support BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and hard fork.
The BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and hard fork will occur at approximately 08/08/2023 02:00 UTC.
Token deposits and withdrawals to BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will be suspended from approximately 10/08/2023 01:45 UTC.
Token trading on the BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) will not be affected during the network upgrade and hard fork.
The BNB Smart Chain (BEP20) network upgrade and hard fork will not result in the creation of new tokens.”
