Project Coreum, a platform aimed at providing a decentralized and community-driven solution for the cryptocurrency industry, launched its mainnet and announced the process of airdropping 100 million CORE tokens and 50 million xCORE tokens to the community of XRP users.
The Mainnet was designed as a blockchain network that provides smart contracts, decentralized applications, and cross-chain interoperability.
The mainnet also uses the Coreum Governance Protocol (CGP), which gives CORE holders the ability to propose and vote on various parameters of the network such as fees, inflation, upgrades and more.
XCORE Option Token Will Be Distributed to XRP Holders
The airdrop campaign is designed to distribute 100 million CORE tokens to existing CORE holders and 50 million xCORE tokens to SOLO and XRP holders. xCORE tokens were introduced as options tokens that give holders the option to purchase CORE tokens at a fixed price of $10 in the future.
The CORE price is trading at $0.23 at the time of this writing. The CORE price was trading above $11 in May of last year.
Airdrop snapshot was taken at block number "78622623" on March 24, 2023 at 07:00 Turkish time. Airdrop rates are based on the total number of COREUM, SOLO and XRP assets requested during the airdrop period.
Airdrop distribution for Coreum holders has already started and can be verified via XRPL explorer. xCORE distribution to SOLO and/or XRP holders will take place on May 15, 2023. The Coreum project thanked its community for their support and participation in the airdrop campaign.
