Truth Terminal, an artificial intelligence bot created by a New Zealand artificial intelligence researcher in the summer and which has become a much talked about crypto millionaire with its buy-sell transactions in recent days, is on the agenda again.
But this time, he came to the fore not with his actions, but with a hacking incident.
Accordingly, Truth Terminal founder Andy Ayrey’s X account was hacked and the attacker attempted to promote a token.
After this introduction, speculation spread rapidly among investors and the market value of the token rose to over $25 million.
The hacker quickly earned $600,000 as the token's market value rose.
According to Lookonchain's post, a hacker hacked the account of Truth Terminal founder Andy Ayrey and earned $602,500 in less than an hour by posting about a token called IB.
The hacker then liquidated his holdings and a massive sell-off ensued, causing prices to drop by almost 98% and the market value to drop to $500,000.
Andy Ayrey said in a statement that he has regained control of his X account, and that the hacker gained access to his account by targeting his mobile carrier. However, the account still appears to be sending suspicious messages, suggesting that it could still be compromised.
Be cautious when buying tokens posted by celebrities on social media.
