MicroStrategy founder and Bitcoin supporter Michael Saylor has shared an ambitious prediction for BTC, predicting that it will gain 29% annually over the next 21 years.
In a recent interview, Saylor outlined his base case scenario, which sees Bitcoin reaching a staggering $13 million per coin in that time frame.
“My view is that Bitcoin will appreciate in terms of ARR (Annualized Rate of Return) by 29% per year for the next 21 years,” Saylor said. This would push the price of Bitcoin to $13 million per unit, according to Saylor. When asked about MicroStrategy shareholders’ thoughts on BTC, Saylor said: “My shareholders are very bullish on BTC. There’s no one who bought MicroStrategy and hated Bitcoin.”
Saylor added that Bitcoin naysayers are likely shorting the stock, reinforcing his belief in the cryptocurrency’s long-term potential. Saylor also mentioned a resource for those looking to model Bitcoin’s future growth: “If you Google it and type in Bitcoin 24, you can find the BTC 24 open source model. It’s a 21-year model that you can download; it’s a spreadsheet.”
