MasterCard, one of the world's largest payment service providers, wants to establish greater partnerships with the crypto industry, according to media reports.
The article published in Reuters today included the statement of a MasterCard executive. As government pressure on digital assets increases, the payment provider is seeking new collaborations for credit cards that can be paid in crypto.
The giant payment provider is already working with crypto trading platforms such as Gemini, Binance, and Nexo. Exchange customers in certain countries can use their wallets everywhere thanks to the crypto cards issued in their names.
"We Have Dozens of Partners"
Speaking to Reuters, Raj Dhamodharan, head of Mastercard's crypto and blockchain departments, said:
"Cryptocurrencies have an innovative technology. We aim to provide citizens with secure access to these opportunities. We have many partners in crypto cards worldwide and we will continue to do so."
Despite the current environment, MasterCard's targeting of expansion attracted the attention of crypto lovers. Especially after the FTX collapse, countries are scrutinizing companies that provide crypto services.
After this news, Mastercard announced that it is collaborating with some altcoins.
