The US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) has announced a delay in its decision on the spot listing of the ARK 21Shares Bitcoin ETF application.
The SEC has extended the deadline for an additional 60 days to decide whether to approve or disapprove the rule change proposed in the filing. In order to have sufficient time to consider the proposed rule change, as amended by Amendment No. 3, and the issues raised therein, the Commission has found it appropriate to establish a longer period for issuing an order approving or disapproving such rule change.
The new deadline for the SEC's decision is set for January 10, 2024.
The SEC also made an early move on the Global X ETFs application, which had a deadline of October 7, and postponed this application as well.
