Microsoft, the technology giant behind Windows and Azure, has announced a strategic partnership with Aptos Labs.
The two companies will work together to create new solutions that combine artificial intelligence (AI) and blockchain technologies to expand the use of Web3 and enable new innovations in the decentralized space.
As part of the collaboration, Aptos Labs will leverage Microsoft's artificial intelligence infrastructure to bring new products to life, such as a chatbot called Aptos Assistant, which will answer user questions about the Aptos ecosystem and provide helpful resources to developers.
The chatbot will be powered by Microsoft's Azure OpenAI Service, based on the GPT-3 language model developed by OpenAI, a Microsoft-backed research organization.
“Artificial Intelligence and blockchain technologies are rapidly converging for one important reason: both are generational breakthroughs that have profoundly impacted the development of the internet and shaped society,” said Mo Shaikh, CEO of Aptos Labs.
Rashmi Misra, General Manager, Artificial Intelligence and Emerging Technologies, Microsoft, said: “By combining Aptos Labs' technology with Microsoft Azure Open AI Service capabilities, we aim to expand the use of blockchain by enabling users to seamlessly join the Web3 and innovators to develop new exciting decentralized applications using AI. We aim,” he said.
The two companies will also explore blockchain-based financial services solutions such as asset tokenization, payment options and central bank digital currencies (CBDCs) to expand the uses of blockchain. Aptos will run validator nodes on Microsoft Azure to increase the security of its network.
