JP Morgan CEO Jamie Dimon, known for his hostility towards Bitcoin after Peter Schiff, made new statements.
Speaking to Fox Business, Jamie Dimon again criticized Bitcoin and warned investors not to ignore the possibility of a recession this year.
Stating that Bitcoin has no real value, Jamie Dimon said that it is used in criminal activities:
“I have always said that Bitcoin has no value, and I say it again: Bitcoin has no value.
“Actual uses include tax avoidance, sex trafficking, money laundering and terrorism financing, which are illegal areas.”
Although Dimon is negative about BTC, it is noteworthy that JP Morgan is preparing to invest in the spot Bitcoin ETF through Blackrock.
Apart from Bitcoin statements, Dimon also stated that there is a possibility of a recession in the USA and said, “I still think there is a high probability that there will be no soft landing in terms of inflation. However, the picture is not very scary. There may be a mild recession or a severe recession. We cannot know this right now. However, there will be a series of “This factor may push us into recession instead of a soft landing,” he said.
