Japanese investment firm Metaplanet has added 150 BTC worth approximately $12.6 million to its growing Bitcoin treasury as it continues its aggressive accumulation strategy.
Metaplanet Bought $12.6 Million in Bitcoin After Eric Trump Appointed as Advisor
The latest purchase, made at an average price of $83,801 per BTC, brought Metaplanet’s total assets to 3,350 BTC purchased for $278.8 million. At current market prices, the firm’s Bitcoin holdings are worth approximately $291.3 million.
Eric Trump Joins as Strategic Advisor
The company's latest Bitcoin purchase comes just days after Donald Trump's second son, Eric Trump, was appointed to Metaplanet's Board of Strategic Advisors.
CEO Simon Gerovich noted that Eric Trump’s “business expertise and passion for BTC” will help Metaplanet advance its goal of becoming one of the world’s leading Bitcoin Treasury Companies.
Metaplanet's Bitcoin Strategy

Stock Performance and Market Impact
Metaplanet’s shares rose 4.8% in the afternoon trading session in Japan following the announcement. The stock is up 38.7% year-to-date, reflecting growing investor confidence in the firm’s Bitcoin-focused strategy.
