Former BitMEX CEO Arthur Hayes, who is closely followed by investors with his Bitcoin and altcoin statements, evaluated US presidential candidate Donald Trump's pro-BTC and crypto statements and the US elections in his last blog post.
At this point, he said that Trump's recent pro-cryptocurrency attitude is not sincere.
Arthur Hayes also claimed that it was a big mistake for the crypto industry to bet on Trump, writing:
“I am appalled that many crypto experts who should know better are now blindly organizing fancy fundraisers for the Trump campaign.
Trump is a smart politician, he will say whatever it takes to get votes for re-election. If Biden was pro-crypto, Trump would be anti-crypto.
And once he takes office, everything crypto-related will be a distant memory.”
Crypto Industry Should Work to Pass Legislation Before the Election Instead of Waiting for Trump to Win!
At this point, Hayes argued that rather than siding with Trump and risking disappointment after the election, the crypto industry and US cryptocurrency holders should unite as a voting bloc and pressure Democrats to immediately pass pro-crypto legislation, promising to lend their votes in return .
“The best time to get concrete results on pro-crypto regulations is before the November elections,” Hayes said.
